12:30
ON A TUESDAY
Tables against the wall, twenty colleagues, one Salsa step, everyone learning it at the same time.
Harman runs the hour and brings the music. Most of the room has never danced. The class is built for them.

What the hour looks like
Arrive and meet the room, warm up and learn the basic step, dance in pairs with swaps every few minutes, then finish with one or two songs.
Sixteen seconds from a workplace Salsa class in Melbourne
What your team will ask you first
Nobody starts ahead
Everyone in the room starts from the same nothing, so nobody is the one who can't do it.
Nobody gets made to partner up
Partners change every few minutes. Anyone who'd rather dance solo does the same steps alongside the group. Anyone who needs a break sits on the edge and comes back when they're ready.
No performance at the end
No routine to memorise, nobody watching from the side. The last song is everyone dancing at once, badly and happily. Then it's over.
WHO RUNS IT

Harman Singh has taught Salsa at The Salsa Foundation in Melbourne for five years.
He started The Latin Dance Project in 2025, after running a few classes for workplaces and noticing the same thing each time.
In the partner work, someone realises their lead isn't as clear as they thought. Then someone else says that's exactly what happens in their meetings.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Does anyone need to know how to dance?
No. Every session starts from zero, and the basic step is taught to the whole room at once before anyone partners up. If your team has one person who dances, they’ll be bored for about four minutes and then swapping partners like everyone else.

UP TO 20
$495
21 TO 50
What if there are more than 20 of us?
Up to 20 people is $395. From 21 to 50 it’s $495, as long as the room fits everyone. Both prices include GST. Say how many when you ask.
Not answered here? Ask in the form below. You’ll hear back within a day.

How much space do you need?
Any floor that is clear and safe to move on: no cables, no boxes, nothing to trip over. Tables pushed to the wall is fine. Carpet is fine. Harman brings a speaker, so book a space where the music won’t bother anyone still working.
What should people wear?
Whatever they wore to work, plus shoes they can move in. Anything but bare feet. Nobody needs dance shoes or a change of clothes.
When can you run it, and how far ahead do we book?
Mondays and Tuesdays until 5pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays until 2pm. Fridays and weekends, any time.
Two weeks’ notice is comfortable, but if your date is sooner, ask anyway. We'll do our best to accommodate!

Have you got anything coming up it would fit?
A team lunch, an end-of-quarter afternoon, an offsite, a Friday when everyone happens to be in.
Tell Harman what it is and when. Within a day, you'll get a plain yes or no on whether sixty minutes fits it.
